Chip sizes
In various
languages the word 'chip' has a lot of meanings. In English ánd
in digital photography a chip is a device containing an integrated circuit
(IC) with millions of light sensitive diodes, also known as sensor.
Below you'll see a matrix of most used sensor sizes. Not all manufacturers
are using the same units (millimeters or inches; 1 inch (") = 2.54
cm.).
