Nikon D600

Mid September 2012, just before the opening of the 2012 Photokina in Germany, Nikon introduced this semi-professional, full frame digital single lens reflex camera.

The camera body, styled/sized as the D200, D300 and D800, has a CMOS sensor with 24.3 effective Mp. If one wants to make use of DX-lenses still 10 Mp. are used. A second sensor is used for the colour and exposure metering. Some hardware and software (e.g. EXCEED3) can be found in older cameras, but filming a full HD movie with stereo sound - via external microphones - is not seen everywhere. Fortunately older lenses can be used as it features the AI-lens connector. For more techspecs see this chapter.
