Nikon D5100

 

Early April 2011 Nikon introduced the Nikon D5100 as the successor of the D5000. The camera is packed with many features, among which some new, thus very interesting ones. Apart from the vari-angle monitor, which can be turned 180° to the side, 90° clockwise and 180° counter-clockwise, High Dynamic Range photography is possible as well as shooting full HD-movies with stereo sound via an optional stereo microphone (ME-1). Brand new are the special effects, like color sketch, miniature effects and night vision after pushing the ISO to an equivalent of 102,400 !!

The camera has a CMOS DX-sensor with 16.2 Mp.and more technical specifications equal to those of the Nikon D5000. See for the technical specifications the matrix.
